Christmas hours & a message from the Active team!
We have always been a team that likes to give back and help others. We have changed our giving projects to be focused on one charity, event or fundraiser each month. What happens is we donate an amount of money for every new patient that attends our practice for the month, to say thank you for being a patient at Active and that we are thrilled to be working with them to make not only a difference in their lives, but others at the same time. Together we can make a difference.
The November giving project was to donate to Movember. By now you would have seen Paul Heffernan’s Movember reveal which was quite fitting for 2020 - If you haven't seen it, click here.
December will be Team Active raising money for the Cancer Council. Our team will take on Cancer Council’s ‘The Longest Day’ – the ultimate golfing challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day. That’s 72 holes!
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70.

The WarmEze flexible patches are a highly effective, convenient and safe means of relieving tight or tense muscles for at least 12 hours.
These patches are very flexible, allowing the patch to bend and flex as you move, without restricting movement or causing discomfort.
These patches are specifically designed to gradually warm and reach maximum heat in approximately 30 minutes.
Each patch is air-activated and we recommend you do not open the sealed patch pouch until ready for use.
Once activated (opened) the patch will deliver a sustained temperature of above 40 degrees for approximately 12-15 hours.
When to use WarmEze Heat Patches:
Acute soft tissue injury
Joint sprain
Tendon or ligament strain
Acute lower back pain
Muscle tightness, strain or sprain

With Christmas just around the corner...
We understand that injuries and rehabilitation don't go on holidays. We are here to help you through the festive period - stay active, healthy and happy. For those of you already injured or suffering pain, the importance of self-management strategies is highlighted.
With children requiring 60 minutes of moderate physical activity per day and adults requiring 30 minutes of moderate physical activity per day, it is important that we encourage people of all ages to stay active this Christmas.
YES it is tempting for adults to try out their children’s latest toys... But sometimes this results in some nasty injuries. Be careful! If you find yourself (hopefully not!) needing a waterproof cast over the break. Active Physiotherapy can help you. So call our rooms on (02) 6925 7734 for an appointment or jump onto our website and ask a physiotherapist a question. We will work our best to fit in urgent appointments.
We will be open all weekdays apart from public holidays and continue our service for inpatients at Calvary hospital.
If you or your family need to be seen we are here to help.
With all of that said: Christmas time is a wonderful occasion to share with our loved ones especially after this year so enjoy the season, spend time with those you love, look after each other and stay active.
The team at Active Physiotherapy sincerely thank you for your support during the year and your assistance in keeping everyone safe. We value our commitment to help Riverina Families be active, healthy and happy.
