I have always been involved in sports from a young age from athletics and touch football to volleyball and water skiing, my prior experiences have lead me to pursue a career in allowing individuals to optimise their performance in their respective sports and also their everyday lives to improve their mental and physical well being.

I like to think of myself as a peoples person, so I love interacting with people, and most importantly, helping them. I love the idea of being able to help someone through their journey in a time in their life when they need someone and be able to work together to achieve their goals.

I've always had a keen interest in health and fitness, specifically strength and conditioning. With this, I have come to understand and appreciate not only what the human body is capable of, but also the endless benefits that come with exercise and living an active lifestyle. My goal as a physiotherapist is to empower others and help them reach their full potential, whatever that may look like.

Being a Physiotherapist means seeing something new and interesting every day. I loves being able to spend time with so many different people with different issues and help them to achieve their health goals, which can range from being able to get around the house safely, to gaining entry to an elite sporting school.

I love being able to make a meaningful difference to peoples lives, whilst forming connections and relationships with people from all walks of life. I love being able to work closely with colleagues and multidisciplinary professionals to continually learn and grow as a clinician - striving to reach the best possible outcome for patients.
Paediatric Team
I grew up in Tumut NSW, after school, I worked as an educator in early childhood for several years before moving to Wagga in 2020. I began working at Active Health in 2021 and have spent the last 3 years as part of our wonderful support team! Working at Active sparked an interest in studying again and I started my Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant in 2022 and I am exited to be part of the paediatric team in 2024.
When I’m not at work, you will find me near a soccer field, coaching, playing or hanging out with friends.

I love being a physiotherapist because no two days are ever the same, and I get to collaborate with families to help them achieve their goals.

I love being a physiotherapist as I get to work with incredible people and families to help them to achieve their goals. Every time a goal is achieved and the child or a parent comes in to their appointment to tell me, the smiles this brings means I have the best job.

Seeing the excitement in children and their families when they achieve a goal no matter how big or small that goal may be..... and knowing achieving that goal leads to opportunity, like opportunity to play or engage and be included with their peers.

WHY DO YOU LOVE BEING AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?
As an Exercise Physiologist, I am passionate about my role because it allows me to witness firsthand the impact that movement and exercise can have on people's lives. What I love most about being an exercise physiologist is the opportunity to empower individuals to take control of their health and well-being through physical activity. Whether it's helping someone recover from an injury, supporting a client in managing a chronic condition, or simply encouraging individuals to lead more active lifestyles, I find joy in guiding others toward healthier, happier futures.
WHY DO YOU LOVE BEING AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?
I love being an EP because I get the opportunity to work with such a range of different clients to achieve their goals. By building meaningful relationships with my clients, I get to understand their condition or injury and how it is impacting them on a day to day basis, and how we can work together to make meaningful change.

Having the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of clients, empowering one to achieve their goals and discover their own capabilities.

I like to help people achieve their goals, whether it be to get stronger to manage their ADLs and hobbies independently, or recover from an injury. I've always wanted to help people, and my passion for fitness has made Exercise Physiology the perfect job opportunity for me.
Support Team
Sarah joined the Active team in 2019. She grew up on a farm in Coleambally before moving to Wagga in 2004. Sarah is also a yoga instructor at Simplee Yoga and a new Mum.
Brooke started with the Active Team in March 2023. Brooke lived in Wagga her whole life, and is now raising her own family here. In her spare time she enjoys staying active between the gym, netball and her children.
Helping people has always been a passion of hers.
After spending a few years in Queensland, Josie is excited to have return to her hometown of Wagga and join the Active Team. Josie brings experience in both hospital and private practice administration where she has honed her skills in patient care and operational support.
Sarah B joined the Active team in February 2021 and will be working part-time as she studies to be a Physiotherapist through Charles Sturt University.
I joined the Active team in October 2021. I grew up in Wagga and am grateful to have a huge family around me here as well. I enjoy getting outdoors in my free time by hiking and exploring the nature around me. I also have completed many units in the health industry and have good knowledge of patient/client care through this.
I joined the Active team in November 2021. I grew up in North QLD and moved to Wagga in late 2018. In my spare time I play AFL in both Wagga and Canberra in their respective seasons.
Makayla joined the Active team in October 2023 after her partner and her chose to move to Coolamon when he got a transfer for work. Makayla comes from a background in health working in hospitals in the Riverina and South East Sydney since she graduated high school both in admin roles and nursing.
Emily joined the Active team in July 2024. Emily grew up in Port Macquarie before moving to Wagga in 2022. In her spare time she enjoy playing netball for Lockhart Football Netball Club with her partner and friends, as well as going home when she can to spend time with my family.
Anika joined the Active Team in early 2024. Anika enjoys the personal interactions with clients and the team. She loves seeing a smile on a person's face and being able to bring a positive spirit to everyday whilst seeing clients and the team achieve their dreams.
After graduating from high school in 2023, Tess started working at Active in February of 2024. Tess was raised in Wagga Wagga and likes spending time with friends and family in her free time. Jess teaches dance a couple nights a week and has a strong interest in dancing.
Keely joined the Active team in June 2024. I grew up in Narrandera before moving to Wagga in 2018. In my spare time, I enjoy most sports but especially love playing netball and AFL as well as spending time with family and friends.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a physiotherapist is the opportunity to form deep connections with clients. It's incredibly fulfilling to guide them through their recovery journey, not only helping them overcome their immediate injury, but also equipping them with the tools to improve their overall health or performance.
Growing up with a keen interest in sport and science, Paul recognised very early that his professional interests would involve the allied health field.
Dave strives to identify the specific cause of the issue, through detailed, holistic assessment of movement patterns, posture and technique. He firmly believes best results are achieved by working closely with the patient to help them fully understand and manage their problem.
