Background
For me it’s a bit of a full circle moment as I was practically a part of the furniture at Active from the age of about 12 when I started seeing Nicole. I grew up in Wagga playing every sport under the sun and from that - I pretty much acquired every injury under the sun. After year 12, I packed up my things and moved to the Gold Coast on a rugby 7’s scholarship at Griffith University. In 2019 I had some time off studying to pursue my dreams of being a professional athlete as I was offered a full time rugby 7’s contract in Japan (surprise surprise it was cut a little short with a fractured thumb and ankle). Getting home from Japan, I gave rugby one last crack but ended up with a few more injuries. Now sport wise I’m just playing for fun and playing what ever sport I can! I have loved my time studying up on the Gold Coast especially getting to build relationships with clients whilst on placement, however I am super excited to move home and be closer to my family and start my career of being an Exercise Physiologist!
Why do you love being an EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?
I love being an EP because I get the opportunity to work with such a range of different clients to achieve their goals. By building meaningful relationships with my clients, I get to understand their condition or injury and how it is impacting them on a day to day basis, and how we can work together to make meaningful change.
